About The Project
The gathering room had been painted in stages, so the trim, the window seats, and the walls were three almost-whites that argued. They wanted one calm field of color and crisp edges around the tall windows.
The Project Challenge
Daylight from the west made the first sample look pink at four o’clock. We moved to a slightly greener white, viewed it with their existing linen sofa, and only then committed. Glossy old trim needed a full sand and bond primer or the new coat would have peeled at the corners.
The Result
The room is one color story. The ceiling recedes, the trim reads sharp, and the window seats can be wiped. Leftover paint is labeled in a cupboard, with the sheen written on the lid.
