About The Project
The hall was a tunnel lit by one ceiling point. Art on the walls disappeared, and the night trip to the kitchen meant a harsh switch.
The Project Challenge
The existing switch loop could not feed the dimmers they wanted, and the plaster was old enough to crumble if we were careless. We fished from the attic where we could, opened only the boxes we needed, and patched with a plaster-friendly compound before paint.
The Result
Four sconces wash the walls. A dimmer gives a low path at night and a brighter setting when the hall is a gallery. The panel directory names the circuit in plain words.
